I am not sure if it is obvious from the title that I watched Fun with Dick and Jane over the weekend because I did.
The movie was fun. After our make-up class last Saturday, I was planning to spend the rest of the afternoon in the library (please don't laugh) while waiting for the time to fetch my mom at the airport. Anyhow, since my classmates were planning to watch it, I switched gears thinking it would be fun.
And it was! It was indeed a Jim Carrey flick. I remember how I laughed while watching Bruce Almighty (it was funny but touching). Fun with Dick and Jane was indeed fun (although I liked Bruce Almighty better). My favorite part was the I believe I can fly solo! We had to watch the first few parts again because one of our classmates missed it. And of course, I laughed again! And what I liked more about this movie was that it has some sort of relevance--with reference to Enron and Arthur Andersen. Hmmm... I am not sure what were the reactions of the powers that be of those former companies.
It was fun watching it a group. And it was the first time in a long time for me to watch a movie for two weeks consecutively, which was a Friday night ritual when I was still working. Just last week, I watched Zathura with my sister, Jessica and my brother, Jeremy. It was fun as well!
Speaking of family, it's fun that my mom is back again after 3 weeks of her being in Manila. Back to normal, a happy normal that is! After attending mass this morning, we ate at Buffet Palace... woohoo! I was really full! I don't know but I was craving for days to eat sumptuous food, with Buffet Palace as one of my options. And we just did and it was just fun.
So my weekend wasn't just having fun with Dick and Jane. It was also fun with family and friends! No kidding!
