A Happy New Year

I know. I'm a bit late. 3 days to be exact. But what the heck! Happy New Year!

The holiday season happened so fast... again! I sure had quite some fun having spent time with classmates--high school, college and law school. Sure, our family was not able to exchange gifts with one another on Christmas Eve, nor on Christmas Day. Christmas Day was spent attending mass and eating a simple meal at Port Café enjoying each others company.

Aside from all the holiday stuff, it was kind of nice to have my cousin AJ from San Diego. He is a 15-month old kid who is truly a charming boy. Such age is fun to be with for there are so many stuff you could teach him to imitate. I miss him already since they already left Davao yesterday.

Of course, AJ, with his mom and dad, didn't leave us just like that. For last New Year's Eve, we have had a nice get-together right here in our home. My sisters, brother and I prepared some food for the celebration. And we were all geared-up with our aprons and bandannas, of which my mom couldn't help but wonder kung ano nakain namin bakit ganun kami kung magluto. Hmmm... it must be the New Year air!

At around 7 pm, relatives from my mother side arrived. We decided to be all in red, and we looked good! Of course, we have had lots of food to eat (I have to mention we had lechon de leche... yummy!)

When we decided to have party, I came up with the idea to have a mini-program. I figured it would be fun. My sisters and I didn't have any idea what to present. I kidded them na we would present a Rejoice commercial (straight na natural). But they thought it was silly... hehe. Just after eating, we decided to be Orange and Lemons (make that Red and Lemons since we were in red). Yup! We were in shades--JJ on keyboard, Johanna on drums (with barbecue sticks and cover sa pans), Jessica and me on guitars (actually racquet). We had our cousin AJ and another cousin Kamille, who is 2 years old, dance to the tune of , what else, but Pinoy Ako! We were a fun bunch! I'm pretty sure my lola, our parents, our uncles and aunties were proud of us... hehehe!

After our production number, we had some gift-giving. I got a book from my brother Jeremy and a bandanna and Pinoy Ako CD from my sisters Jessica and Johanna.

See! It was indeed a Happy New Year!
