Happy

(Read this article in the Philippine Star and I thought of sharing this ... read on)

How to be happy

MIND YOUR BODY By Willie T. Ong, MD Updated November 25, 2008 12:00 AM

Is there a person alive who doesn’t want to be happy? There isn’t one. But how often do we think of ways to be happy? If you’re feeling sad because of some family or financial problems, don’t despair. Here are 20 strategies to be happy;

• Decide to be happy. Make a plan. Think of ways and things that bring you happiness. Set happy goals not just for yourself but include others, too. Then, think of what to do next. (I am happy. Mas energy, mas happy!)

• Use your talents. Identify your strengths. Can you sing, dance, draw, paint, write, or speak? Find and cultivate these strengths of yours. Focus on them and they will bring you confidence and satisfaction. Do what you were meant to do in this world.(I will sing to my own tune and dance to my own beat!)

• Play. Play with your kids. Have fun with friends. Take time to relax and play. There’s nothing wrong with having fun and liking your work. Go through your normal day in an easy and light manner. (All study and no play makes jazzie a dull girl .. hehe)

• Be curious. Try to see happiness around you. Watch the sunrise, feel the cool breeze, listen to the birds chirping and see people smiling. Nature is full of happiness. (Why do lawmakers make confusing laws? Why are there conflicting jurisprudence?)

• Count your blessings. Be grateful and happy with what you have. Accept the blessings that you have and think positively about the things you do not have. Maybe you weren’t meant to get it anyway and that something better is in store. Look at the bright side always. (Grateful!)

• Like yourself. Everybody commits a mistake at some point in their lives. It’s part of our learning process, whether it’s because of our youth or ignorance. Try to make amends on the mistakes you made and then let it go. A wise man said that it’s the things we didn’t do that we later regret, and not the things and mistakes that we did. (Love your own .. hehe)

• Pamper yourself. After a long work day, treat yourself to a warm, refreshing bath. Enjoy your favorite magazine. Tinker around with your hobbies. And when you feel like a kid, bring out the child in you. (I pamper myself with watching TV, eating and surfing the net .. hehe)

• Enjoy close relationships. A unique study shows that talking to a supportive friend is as effective as taking a tablet of pain reliever. There is something heavenly in true and caring friends. Invest your time in building close relationships. They are as good as money in the bank. (Family and friends .. woohoo!)

• Find positive people. Surround yourself with positive and happy people. Find good mentors. They can be the key to your success. Some believe the other person’s good influence and good karma will also bring you luck. Happy people tend to be more supportive of others, too. (And avoid those who bring negative vibes …)

• Volunteer to help someone in need. If you want to receive P2,000 worth of happiness, donate P2,000 to your favorite charity. Studies show that the more people give to others, the happier they become. (… in my own little way)

• Think happy thoughts. Positive thinking proponent Norman Vincent Peale says that if a negative thought should enter your mind, you should immediately block it with a positive one. If a fearful thought crosses your mind, tell yourself that you’ll overcome it, and that you’ll be alright. Think positive. (Happy, happy, happy ….)

• See and hear happy news. Read inspiring books. Watch happy movies. Look for the good news in the papers and magazines. Fill your minds with positive and constructive news. (See no evil, hear no evil?)

• Laugh. If you watched Patch Adams, you know that the doctor’s secret cure for his patients is to simply make them laugh. Wearing a clown’s makeup, Dr. Adams brings joy to cancer-stricken kids. A study by Dr. Lee Berk shows that watching an hour of comedy movie releases 27 percent more good endorphins in the body. Endorphins help reduce pain and stress, and boost the immune system. (Watch AFV .. hehe)

• Follow your instincts. In the best-selling book Blink, author Malcolm Gladwell says our minds can make a wise decision based on our gut feel or intuition. Most of the time, this turns out correctly. In business decisions and relationships, it pays to listen to this inner voice of wisdom. (… especially when you don’t know the answer to the exam question .. hehe)

• Be healthy. Being healthy is a prerequisite to being happy. Get a checkup and see your doctor. Avoid alcohol and cigarettes. (Eat a glass of milk each night and vitamins, vitamins .. )

• Eat healthy and exercise. Go for something green or orange. Green leafy vegetables and orange-colored tomatoes, carrots, and citrus fruits are high in antioxidants. Exercise moderately and stay active for your age. (Channel surfing is my favorite exercise!)

• Find the right amount of stress. Studies show that too much stress from work can lead to anxiety, restlessness, and anger. However, too little stress can also lead to boredom. The secret is in finding the right amount of work that will make you productive and happy. (Law school gives me the right amount of stress – this goes back to thinking happy thoughts)

• Sleep. Make sure that you get adequate sleep and rest, like around seven to eight hours. If you have insomnia, just lying in bed and thinking happy and restful thoughts can relax your body, too. (Yey .. sleep approximately at 2.30 am then wake-up at 10:00 am .. hehe ..)

• Be in love. Gerontology professor Dr. David Demko believes that being in love can prolong one’s life by as much as seven years. Married people or those with close relationships are generally happier compared to single people living alone. If you don’t have a partner, then having a close friend, a pet or a hobby canbe a substitute. (I love life!)

• Believe. Studies show that people who have a strong sense of spirituality are 40-percent happier than those who don’t. People who hope for a brighter future and sense a meaning and purpose in their lives are happier and more fulfilled. (Oh, when you believe ….)

• Try to have faith in yourself. Have faith, too, in the goodness of others. And finally, have faith in God. If you’re not happy today, don’t worry, because slowly things will get better. It always does. You have all the resources you need to be happy. (Keep the faith!)

What Was I Thinking

Maraming iniisip. Malayo ang iniisip. Kulang sa isip. Wala sa isip

-oOo-

Cereals with orange juice for breakfast. Take note that the orange juice was poured into the cereals instead of using milk. Malayo ang iniisip.

-oOo-

Putting "chapstick" before going to bed. After combing hair and before leaving the house for school, I put it on. It became such a routine that after combing hair before going to sleep, chapstick was put on. Wala sa isip.

-oOo-

Reading the Bible then, looking at the bottom for a footnote after seeing a number after a word as a superscript. Forgot that the number refers to the verse, and not a footnote. Got used to reading text books/notes with such footnote reference. Wala sa isip.

-oOo-

Opening the refrigerator and grabbing a pitcher of water. Actually, looking for soy sauce and not water. There should be no reason to look for soy sauce in the refrigerator. Maraming iniisip.

-oOo-

Laughed when read "easy" questions on an exam questionnaire. It was actually, "essay" question. Wala sa isip.

-oOo-

Hindi "bilog ang mundo". It is spheroid. Ano Tagalog ng spheroid? Maraming iniisip.

-oOo-

Anong Tagalog ng "either"? Maraming iniisip.

-oOo-

Kung ang ocean ay karagatan in Tagalog at ang sea ay dagat in Tagalog, ano ang Tagalog ng beach? Maraming iniisip.

-oOo-

Comparing personal answers to questions and grades in first year and second year as to answers in fourth year. Personal assessment - probably better back then. Mom said there is a reason. Unlike in first year to third year, coverage was limited unlike in fourth year. Now, there is information overload and it is more likely to forget more stuff. Information overload or lack of memory. Pano na sa bar? Kulang sa isip at Maraming iniisip.

-oOo-

1st sem is unoffiically over since the results are not yet out. Full throttle for second sem started - study for an exam, prepare for a recit, prepare for requirements, study other subjects in between. Maraming iisipin.

This is it!

Liar, Liar

I guess one of the things that somehow pisses me of is when someone insinuates that I am lying.

I am not a saint. I try my best not to tell lies. It is really hard but I try not to.

I may have a high tolerance for other people's confusing personalities. But, sometimes, push really comes to shove ...

Yes, I do keep things to myself. But I think it's a whole new ballgame when someone insinuates to another that I may not be telling the truth. The most that person could probably do is tell it to my face that I am not telling truth.

I can't understand why people act that way. You treat them nicely and help them out in your own little way. And then, this is how they talk about you - or for anything or anyone you are associated with.

What is more confusing is such person is insinuating something I have no idea of. Maybe such person is right. Maybe such person is wrong. But maybe there is really something to what such person is talking about and I just do not have any inkling of it. The best such person could do is probably ask me personally and just don't come to conclusions and immediately associating things and people just like that.

What is most confusing is that such person seem to forget to reflect upon the mirror ...

Oh, well ...

Watch

Last night, my sister asked me what do I want as a gift from my aunt this Christmas.

The first thing that I blurted out was a stop watch!

And then, I laughed.

Just before I was asked, I mentioned to my friend that I used to have a goal to study for 8 hours within a 24-hour period. There were times that I really counted the hours, up to the last minute, that I studied. This is less the water breaks, food breaks, CR breaks or chika breaks. I rarely reach my goal during school days. Sometimes, I do get to study for 8 hours if there is no school. I only counted the number of hours I studied for a short time. And then, I stopped because it was useless since I rarely get to reach that goal anyway.

With 2nd sem-4th year at hand, I was thinking of getting a real stop watch - the one they use on basketball games and not the one I have on my mobile phone.

I am not sure if that wish was pathetic .. hehe. Maybe. Maybe not.

Anyhow, I just said that a lotion or perfume would be fine.

My sister added if I am sure because they are asking for boots and bag. They said maybe I want to get some new clothes.

I said I was ok. I have enough clothes for now.

But I do not have a stop watch :)

Uncool

Jennifer Aniston calls Angelina Jolie's 2007 Remarks About Working with Brad Pitt 'Uncool'

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Jennifer Aniston is sounding off about her ex-husband's current partner, Angelina Jolie.

In a new cover story for Vogue magazine, conducted by writer Jonathan Van Meter, Jennifer said Angelina's interview with the fashion magazine in January 2007, in which the "Changeling" star revealed details about the start of her romance with Brad Pitt, was tough to read.

"There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening," Aniston said in her new interview, which will appear in Vogue's December 2008 issue. "I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss."

In the original January '07 article Jennifer was referring to, Angelina told Vogue that it was clear Brad was "with his best friend, someone he loves and respects." But, Angelina's comments about the excitement she felt going to work on the set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," where she met Brad, were stinging.

"That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool," Jennifer said.

But while Angelina's remarks were hurtful, Jennifer said her split with Brad was not as rough as people might have thought.

"It was never that bad," she said. "I mean, look, it's not like divorce is something that you go, 'Ooh, I can't wait to get divorced!' It doesn't feel like a tickle. But I've got to tell you, it's so vague at this point, it's so far away in my mind, I can't even remember the darkness."

And Jennifer's light continues to shine with her upcoming roles in "Marley & Me" and "He's Just Not Into You," and with her rumored rekindled romance with John Mayer.

"I deeply, deeply care about him; we talk, we adore one another," Jennifer said of the musician. "And that's where it is."

3 Dads and 1 Mommy

Bitter-sweet ...

I was happy that I got home just in time. The last episode of "3 Dads and 1 Mommy" was just shown a couple of hours ago.

For about 2 months, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night, I fervently watched every single episode of this Asianovela - or whatever you may call it. More than anything else, the show never failed to make me laugh.

This is the first of its kind that I watched. I don't know if there will be another one.

I was just too happy with the ending! It was what I really hoped for from the very beginning. I had doubts over the past few days because of what they have shown. But I was seriously hoping that the Justin was the real dad .. and he was! Yahoo! Just the way I like it!

While I do like the ending, I'm a bit sad because there is less to look forward to during weeknights .. tsk, tsk .. Oh, well. Life is like that.

Thanks to Jake, Jayden, Ariel, Lizette and Nicole for making my weeknights really fun.

Hmm .. I wonder what happened to Mr. James ...

You Can't Hurry Love

My Only U

"My Only U"

I haven't been to the cinemas since August. And I think this movie was the perfect fix for my sentiments lately.

I was very happy when I got the chance to watch "A Very Special Love" on its 3rd week. And when I felt I had some free time, I took the chance to watch "My Only U". I think "My Only U" is funnier than a "A Very Special Love". I also like its story line better. But it doesn't mean I like it better. I like both films in different levels .. char!

Jologs na kung jologs but that is just me .. hehe.

There are some stuff that doesn't make me react much - patola, punks, rock n' roll, the kissing scene. But the weird thing is I think many people found this funny. Oh, well, I'm weird :)

Just to sum things up, here are my top 10 favorites as to this movie:

1. I love John Lloyd Cruz! Sun dance works! I super love his cameo here - along with Ronnie Magsanoc, Sam Milby and Zanjoe Marudo.

2. Vhong-Toni tandem clicks! They make you smile, cry, laugh, teary-eyed in a matter of seconds. I guess they make you look like you are going out of your mind!

3. I like the songs "You Can't Hurry Love" and "Kasama Kang Tumanda". Even before this flick, I love Phil Collins singing "You Can't Hurry Love". I even have a tape of it. I also like it because it was featured in Julia Robert's "Runaway Bride". I think the Tagalog song sounds like a "tagalized" version of "Growing Old With You." But I like the lyrics and the melody ... "umabot man tayo sa 3001"

4. I like the "4-season" scene. I know this is similar to a scene in Notting Hill, which I super like!

5. I like the evolution of the "kamay". It maybe corny to some but hey, I'm a certified corny!

6. Supporting casts - Kit Kat and Empoy as Sheryl and Romnick is carino-brutal. I like their exchange! I also find Empoy's dance moves funny! Janus role is ok. I know it may be cruel to a hairlip but there are really some scenes that can make you laugh. I don't think it has much to do with being a hairlip but ever since, Janus presence as a comedian makes me laugh.

7. Funny lines or situations along the way - Rosa Rosal scene, tulong not tulak scene, i love you Lord scene, among others.

8. The bulag-pipi lines somehow sticks to you and makes you think about people who have eyes but can't see and those who have tongues but can't speak. Isn't it ironic?

9. The story line seems corny but is actually refreshing. I knew that there was a twist in the end and we made a guess but we were a bit wrong. And to think that we went inside the cinema just when the super-twist was revealed. But I didn't feel that watching the movie after seeing the twist spoiled the movie itself. It was still fun to watch!

10. It makes you more appreciative of life and gain more perspective of death. I try to live my life that way and to see how it is tackled on-screen, in a comedic way, somehow makes me smile and forget that my worries (even for awhile).

PS - I think the movie poster could be better :)

Survivor Friday

Survivor Friday wasn't that too good for me!

Survivor Gabon was quite interesting with the new twist. But I really was not happy when Marcus got voted out. While I don't think the he will be the ultimate survivor, I was hoping that he could hang-around until the merge. The reason I don't think he will be the ultimate survivor is because he is too smart and too strong for others. In other words, other people than his alliance see him as a threat. I will miss him! (Char! .. hehe)

I think it was also quite interesting that Bob, the 58-year old, was there fighting it out for the immunity in an endurance challenge. Talk-about age! (Ayos!)

Survivor Philippines was a disappointment last Friday!

I felt a "crime" was committed against a Survivor fan (or just me maybe) when they decided to do a cliff-hanger episode and divulge next week the latest cast-away to be voted out. I understand "to be continued" episodes in TV series - X-Files, Lost, Heroes, CSI. I understand "to be continued" episodes in The Amazing Race. I understand Ryan's Seacrest in American Idol when he says we'll find out who is safe "after the commercial break." But I do not get it when you do that in a Tribal Council is Survivor franchise, which is aired every week night. Preposterous!

I knew the reason of such "cliff-hanger" - Pinoy Fear Factor will be shown next Monday (I also don't like the everyday Pinoy Fear Factor thing, but I am not a big Fear Factor fan anyway). Anything for the ratings in this side of the world. Oh, well! For that, I decided not to watch episodes of Survivor Philippines which do not involve challenges and tribal councils. I don't think they will care anyway. Period.

Dazed and Confused

I think I know why I am dazed and confused lately. I think I just think too much.

I think of things what I have to do. I think of things that I need not do but I do it anyway.

I think of possible consequences and endless possibilities.

I think I work best at a momentum rather on a roller coaster. I think I do ok with learning curves. I think that when I am at my very peak, I should then take a break for a while to recharge, before I reach my breaking point.

I think I should watch any of the movies being shown. I think I choose not to watch any of them anytime soon.

I think I need a haircut soon.

I think I think of others too much. I think they don't think of me much. I think I am paranoid.

I think I am a cautious person. I think I am not a risk taker.

I think I can live with other's principles. I think I find it hard to contradict myself.

I think people are confusing. I think that some people do not really care.

I think some people do not reflect upon themselves. I think I do, too, at times.

I think some people forget that when they talk about others, they do not see that they are what they talk about.

I think some people are disappointing. I think they impose too much on other people and yet, I wonder what their reaction will be if you impose on them.

I think there are stuff that I get really excited about.

I think I want to take a break sometime soon, even just for a day.

I think I want to see Michael John's on the 3rd week of November at the Ayala Malls. I think that is not probable.

I think I will miss "3 Dads and 1 Mommy".

I think I compare the US Survivor and Survivor Philippines a lot. I think you cannot blame a fan.

I think Survivor is totally different with Fear Factor, as to the game itself.

I think I like Ryan Agoncillo saying "Ako po si Ryan Agoncillo at ito ang Pinoy Fear Factor Argentina, South America." I think I used to mimic him saying "I'm Ryan Agoncillo and this is The Explorer." I think I am not a Ryan Agoncillo fan.

I think I am again at this point where things are at a blur. I think this happens when I get to think of the day according to what is shown on television. I think this indicates that I am stressed.

I think I like David Archuleta's "Crush".

I think I should distance myself so that I would not think too much. I think it is not that easy nor possible.

I think I don't like to hear "beh" when someone asks a favor. I think I find it a little bit irritating if people plead with the use of many "please" when they ask for a request. I think a single "please" or without the "beh" would suffice.

I think I find it sad when people break-up. I think they should be ok later on.

I think I should study for exams.

I think the title should not be "Dazed and Confused". I think it should be "I Think."

I think this blog is long already.

High School Life

High School ...

For the past few weeks, I got to see some pictures which made me think about high school.

I was browsing my Friendster account and I stumbled upon the wedding pictures of a "friendster" on her wedding day. She and her husband came from the same high school, although we do not belong to the same batch. I was just happy seeing that her high school friends and his high school friends had "major roles" in their wedding. I think it's just nice to see such friendships going strong.

About a week ago, I also received a message as to updating the PWC Alumni Directory but I only remembered forwarding the message to my batchmates tonight .. hehe.

I also got to see pictures of my sister and her high school friends, and they're all there in the US of A. Nice!

Just a few hours ago, I also browsed my Friendster account and what do I see? A reunion of some sorts of my batchmates in Dubai!! I really find it great that there were 7 of them and there they were, hanging out! Lingaw!

It got me thinking to that time when I was in Manila and my batch mates and I had a get together. That was las January 2004 and I think we were around 8 that time.

And it's not just that planned get-together. There are those simple meet ups with the respective group of close friends, attending a wedding or a baptism. Little things that when you look back, it's nice to think about.

Last December, a number of us also hung-out twice - in BakBak and in Woodridge.

Last December 2003, we had our official "reunion" and that was really fun :)

From Davao to Manila to Dubai .. hmm, where to next?

Blank

I am fully aware that I have not blogged for quite a number of days.

It's not that nothing happens with my life. Actually, a lot is happening. I guess I am just livin' a life.

There are a number of things I have to do.

There are a number of things I think about.

There are a number of stuff I have to worry.

There are a number of blessings I have to be thankful for.

There are a number of people I do not know how to react to.

I do think of things to blog. But when I am in front of this "Compose Blog Entry", my mind goes blank.

I do not know what to write.

I do not know where to begin.

I do not know how to express my sentiments.

I do not know why I dwell on a lot of stuff.

I do not know when is the right time to write.

Maybe my mind is not that "blank". I got to post this blog.

I think I am just confused :)

I Dreamed of Africa

Dream Destination: AFRICA

I love to travel. And just like any other person, I have my personal dream travel destination. And that would be Africa.

Honestly, I first dreamt of being able to go to Paris and be at the Eiffel Tower. I think that was until Survivor 3:Africa. And I was also influenced by Amazing Race 1 (I think) where they went to Victoria Falls.

The dream was sort of rekindled when Survivor 17:Gabon began two weeks ago. I was thinking of writing about it but I just never got into it .. hehe.

Here now comes an article written by Marc Nelson in the Philippine Star today.

It is a nice read.

So, I felt that it was just about time to blog about it.

The biggest reason why I am dreaming of Africa is probably because of what its nature offers - close encounters with animals. Yes, I've seen a number of animals but they were in zoos. So, it would be definitely an experience seeing them in their natural habitat. Swimming with the great white shark is also an experience to look forward to in Africa. And there's Victoria Falls, which I was truly amazed when I was watching Amazing Race. And of course, the people there :)

It may take some time for this dream to become a reality. I still do not have that much money. And I still haven't found traveling buddies for this dream trip.

But for now, I think dreaming would suffice.

Funny

It’s funny when you think about a person for no reason

And suddenly, you see that person out of the blue

It’s funny when you think you know that person

And yet, you hesitate to acknowledge when you meet such person

It’s funny when you think so much has changed

And still, you are so sure that you can still recognize such person

It’s funny when you are so sure of that person

And then, you just dismiss such encounter

It’s funny when there is really not much to that

And in spite of it, I still find it funny why I am blogging about it

I wonder if such person finds it funny, too :)

C

We always have a choice. I always believed that. Sometimes we just get so blinded with the circumstances that we feel we are left with no choice at all. But truth be told, there is always a choice – though, we just could not accept something as a “choice” when we do not want the consequences we are going to face with that choice. We choose our own adventure and in making a choice, we should accept the consequences for there is no turning back.

In making a choice, we sometimes forget the consequences – how varied it can be. Sometimes, we get caught up in the moment that we tend to overlook possible consequences – consequences that not only affects us but other people as well. We sometimes forget to take into consideration worst case scenarios and somehow hope that things will change for the better.

We all know that the only constant thing in this world is change. It is inevitable. Change may be for the better or for the worse. But with the changes in life, we either embrace it or adjust to it.

With such changes being permanent, I guess it would be pointless to complain. Sure, you can speak out for that is your right. But try not to complain and just do what you ought to do.

Unfortunately, we tend to complain a lot. Instead of doing so, we must assess what we can control. Let go of things which is beyond our control and concentrate on what is at hand. I know this is hard because there are things that just come naturally. No matter how much we avoid to dwell on things, there will always be those stuff that we constantly think over. Although, these stuff shall pass eventually.

One thing that we can control is our being complacent. We tend to be satisfied with what is on hand that we forget that we can still do more. We can always push ourselves to our maximum capacity. Just go the distance and we will eventually reap results.

I sometimes cannot comprehend why we tend to be complacent at times. Our conscience must be our guide in our every day lives. Unfortunately, I think there are many levels of such conscience. Something which bothers me might not be bothersome at all for another.

Yes, we are different. I do not expect everyone to agree with everyone. I do not expect everyone to be friendly with everyone. Nevertheless, two ends can still meet. Try to compromise. In the end, nobody really ends up losing.

When we have reached a compromise or whatever agreement there is, be committed. We must deliver what we have promised. If we cannot deliver, then, do not make such commitment. In that case, it is better not to expect at all.

Oh well! I might be wrong. But that’s okay for I have always known that human beings are always complicated! J

The Reasons

8 ways to explain to yourself how you fared in your exam

(in other words - pampalubag loob):

3. Napag-aralan ko man iyon. Nabasa ko iyon man iyon somewhere. Fair magbigay si ma'am ng question kasi nadiscuss niya. Mali ko lang kay nakalimutan ko kung ano iyong nabasa ko. Normal lang man sa tao na makalimot.

4. Sa kadaming gimemorize, nalibog na jud ko. Gamay ra akong capacity to memorize .. no more space for new messages. Tao lang ko, dili jud nako mamemorize tanan. Sino ba daw makamemorize sa lahat?

5. Ai, outside of the coverage area. Wa na koy labot ana .. kay nagstudy jud ko within the coverage area .. hehe

6. Kahaba sa exam, alam ko man sana ang answer ba. Kulang lang jud ang time .. at least makasabi ako na nag-aral ako.

7. Gi-note ko pa naman sa sarili ko na dapat basahin ko tong case na ito or topic na ito .. kulang man gud ang time to read .. kaya hindi ko nabasa .. tsk, tsk

8. I gave my best jud!

Eto lang maisip ko ngayon .. baka may iba kayong maisip ;)

Talk TV!

3 Dads with 1 Mom

I have never been a Koreanovela fan. Wala pa akong sinubaybayan na kahit anong koreanovela … until now.

Koreanovela ba ito or or koreakuwela? Ngek! Alam ko corny!

Pero the first thing that got my attention was the trailer of how Justin died .. shocked man din ako! Pero yung particular scene sa trailer hindi pinakita sa prime time talaga .. hmmm.

Another reason is my curiosity as to how they can make such a tragic event (husband died while wife is pregnant with a child) can be turned into something comedic? Somehow, they have pulled it off – as in there are scenarios na tragic jud tapos may scenes na lingaw. Very nice ang friendship nung guys. Pero siyempre gawonder lang gihapon ako if nasan ang relatives and friends sa girl .. hehe ..

Isa pang reason? Super kataw-anan ang 3 dads .. hehe .. lingaw ang mga hirits nila. And sige na, aminin ko na .. guwapo jud si Jake ba yun. Basta yung hindi detective and hindi comic book artist .. haha!

O isa pa .. ka-cute jud ni baby Nicole .. hehe .. as in!

Survivor: Philippines

Siyempre mawala ba rantings ko nito .. hehe

For someone who is a Survivor avid fan, may times talaga na mapa-what ako when watching Survivor Philippines. Pero medyo accepted ko na na ganun talaga ..

The tribal council was dragging .. para siyang naging talk show .. hehe

Tapos kanina sa reward challenge .. medyo makainis kasi parang nobody watched the Survivor Fans vs. Faves Season on how the planks was used. O sige na lang, isipin ko na lang na ang instruction sa kanila eh hwag gayahin iyong strategy sa Survivor US at kelangan gamitin nila iyong 2 planks or kung ano man yun .. hehe

Halalan '08 (may be hazardous to your health!)

As a law student na almost every week may exam, ano pa ba ang most probably na i-blog kundi about our exams. Toynk!

Hala! Tuloy hindi ko masisi ang ibang tao nagabasa ng blog ko if they think that all I do is study and watch TV .. eh yun lang naman usually kasi ang topics .. hehe

Ok, so we had our Election Laws exam hours ago. And I can say that nahirapan ako - promise! I think it has the making of toppling our Pub Corp exam as the most difficult one for now .. as to my view point ha!

Hindi naman ako masyado nanghinayan kasi Saturday pa lang nagpa-immunize na ako sa kung ano mang nangyari sa Elections exam namin. My plan was to read our class reviewer (salamat Sasha :) ), the briefer, some notes and previous exam questions.

This time, sabi ko matulog na lang ako .. pero matagal rin bago ako nakatulog kasi it was not yet my bed time .. hehe..

Suma total .. feel ko hindi kahit todo study ako for the exam during the weekdays, my answers would have been probably more or less the same. If may difference konti lang talaga .. May mga tanong kasi talaga na hindi ko alam san kunin ang sagot. Mabuti ba ang illegally seized items kasi alam nila na fruit sila poisonous tree .. connect?

Oh my, I am speaking nonsense .. tsk, tsk .. Gotta move on!

Survivor Philippines

I am a Survivor fan.

Though I have not watched every single episode since Season 1, I have watched most of it anyway and I kept myself updated.

For the last 3 years, I have been watching Survivor episodes on Friday afternoons just before going to class. Yes, I do watch even though we have a recitation later .. hehe. If for some other reason I am not able to watch it, I thank God for replays .. hehe

Anyhow, I got excited when I heard about Survivor Philippines. Though I am a certified Kapamilya, I am also a certified Survivor fan.

I had a preview of the contestants before the first episode. Hindi masyado ako impressed because medyo mataas ang expectation ko after I heard about the auditions that were conducted. Siguro, medyo mataas ang expectation ko kasi masyado akong nasanay sa mga foreigners na Survivor contestants .. hehe. Pero to give credit, medyo diverse naman ang mga background ng mga tao, which is quite ok.

I watched the first episode a while ago. Production is indeed Survivor-like. Franchise nga eh. I don't have any bitter feelings even if Paolo wears the same design in clothes as worn by Jeff Probst. Survivor nga eh.

The first task – that 1 kilometer swim was very Survivor. I was thinking that kaya ko siguro iyon i-swim pero mga after 48 hours pa ako matapos .. haha .. The reward challenge was ok as well. If may reason ako to participate in Survivor, its because of those challenges. Kasi I will be able to assess if kaya ko mga ganun. And wala namang naga-prepare na ganun na obstacle course or props or whatever … kaya ok din if you get to experience it.

In fairness, Survivor Philippines did make some deviations. Iyong mga statement ni Paolo na this person is already strategizing or this person is having difficulty .. hehe. Wala atang ganun sa Survivor, I think.

But I do have one great peeve. Why did they make it an everyday thing? Ah, yes .. the rating thing .. tsk, tsk ...

I was so used to watching everything in a single episode. I think mas thrilling din pag ganun. And the breaks are more logical. Hindi iyong in the middle of the challenge eh commercial break. Tapos I get to miss one single episode, parang mahirapan ako makaconnect ... hehe

Anyhow, I think I'll be watching Survivor Philippines in the coming days. Tapos na rin kasi ang PDA (kung saan ayaw ko si Laarni ang manalo .. pero di naman ako bumoto .. hehe .. so, patagalan na lang sa kanila sa industriya .. haha)

Anyhow, these are my 5 reasons why I am not qualified for Survivor:

1. May scoliosis ako

2. I am visually impaired (and probable legally blind kasi 5.50 and 5.25 na grade ng salamin ko)

3. Hindi ko pa kaya mag two-piece .. haha!

PS: Picture of Jeff Probst is in reply to my request for an autographed picture when I wrote to him. Sabi ko nga .. Survivor fan ako :)

Ah! Succession!

Admittedly, this is probably one of the hardest subjects I encountered. I guess this was the only subject where I told my dad that succession is really difficult to comprehend. As to other difficult subjects, I kept it to myself and just let them know my grades if I am on the brink of elimination.

The Succession exam we had was ok and I know there would be objections as to this opinion.

Do not get me wrong because I am way too weird. Do not get me wrong when I say ok because it does not necessarily mean that I got the questions right because I did not. Do not get me wrong because when I say the exam was ok, I get a low grade more often than not.

So, how do I measure? The fact that almost if not everything that was asked is familiar to me. It may have been discussed in class, asked in a previous examination or in a case cited in the syllabus. I guess it is just a matter of memory. And the truth is I forgot that's why I did not get the right answers. This is under the premise of what I think is correct and not for any another reason, ok?

Nevertheless, there will be those moments na mali jud di ai pagkasabot ko. Sabi nga ni KC: "I get it. I am not perfect." Hehe .. Oh well, lessons learned and learning curves. Sige lang, sabi ko nga kay Alia, pang-bar na itong mga lessons learned .. hehe!

Bawi na lang kami sa next sem na Succession. Return of the Comeback ito!

In the meantime, bawi na sad sa Property para mabira ang Civil Law .. hehe.

Nevertheless, mas mahirap pa rin ang Pub Corp na exam .. haha

*Bakit ganun ang title? First suggestion kay SUCKsession pero I do not feel that the succession exam sucks (char!) and status na ni Blithe eh .. hehe ... So, para orig, suggestion na lang ni noch na reserva troncal .. haha .. thanks noch ;)

FYI: What is Reserva Troncal?

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind

The 2008 Bar Exams started last Sunday.

On my own, I went over the questions on Labor Law. It was ok at first because I felt I had an idea. I can answer YES or NO, but without enough backing.

With a group of classmates, medyo defined na answer.

But when it was discussed in class, I really felt that I was not that yet ready to take the Bar Exams. All I had in my mind was a YES or NO with somewhat reasoning. But listening to the discussions, I felt it is not yet that enough. I cannot cite particular Articles in the Labor Code. But I can say that we were able to answer some. But my feeling was that I was not that convincing enough in answering those questions.

As to the Political Law questions, mas lalong kulang pa .. tsk, tsk.

Yes, I confess that the reality that I should be talking the bar next year at this time (barring any failures .. with God's guidance) is setting in on me.

Yes, I had butterflies in my stomach reading the newspaper last Sunday mentioning the start of the bar examinations for this year.

Yes, I still doubt myself how ready I am, considering the feedback that the exams last Sunday was reasonable.

Maybe this is ok so that I would push myself more than ever and just so that I would not be complacent in whatever I have right now.

Hala, sige .. gi-rationalize ko jud ;)

Personality Type

Na-inggit ko kay Han .. hehehe :)

You Are An ISFJ
The Nurturer

You have a strong need to belong, and you very loyal.
A good listener, you excel at helping others in practical ways.
In your spare time, you enjoy engaging your senses through art, cooking, and music.
You find it easy to be devoted to one person... a partner who you do special things for.

In love, you express your emotions through actions.
Taking care of someone is how you love them. And you do it well!

At work, you do well in a structured environment. You complete tasks well and on time.
You would make a good interior designer, chef, or child psychologist.

How you see yourself: Competent, dependable, and detail oriented

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Boring, dominant, and stuck in a rut

Based sa tingin ko sa sarili ko, may pagka-accurate din ito na personality type .. sa tingin ko lang ha. Medyo doubtful lang ako sa part na I would make a good interior designer (hindi ko ito maimagine for myself), chef (nge! gabago-bago ang aking ingredients .. haha .. it took years to perfect my blueberry cheesecake .. haha) and child psychologist (siguro dahil batang isip ako .. hehe)

How I see myself is more or less true, especially with the detail-oriented part (but not to the OCD extent .. hehe)

Yes, feel ko nga na people who do not get me see me as boring, dominant and stuck in a rut. Tapos nandiyan pa iyong snob and strict .. char!

Nalingaw ko

Alapaap

LSS for over a week!

May isang umaga, na tayo'y magsasama
Haya at halina sa alapaap
O, anong sarap, haa...

Hanggang sa dulo ng mundo
Hanggang maubos ang ubo
Hanggang gumulong ang luha
Hanggang mahulog ang tala

Chorus:

Masdan mo ang aking mata
'Di mo ba nakikita
Ako ngayo'y lumilipad at nasa langit na
Gusto mo bang sumama ?

Hindi mo na kailangan ang magtago't mahiya
Hindi mo na kailangan humanap ng iba
Kalimutan lang muna
Ang lahat ng problema
Huminga ka ng malalim at tayo'y lalarga na
Handa na bang gumala

Adlib:

Pap-pa-rap... pap-pa-rap-pa..
Pa pa pa pa (papapapa....)
La-la-la... oooh hoo hoo...

Ang daming bawal sa mundo
(Ang daming bawal sa mundo)
Sinasakal nila tayo
(Sinasakal nila tayo)
Buksan ang puso at isipan
(Buksan ang puso at isipan)
Paliparin ang kamalayan
(Paliparin)

Chorus 2:

Masdan mo ang aking mata
'Di mo ba nakikita
Ako'y lumilipad at nasa alapaap na
Gusto mo bang sumama ?

Gusto mo bang (gusto mo bang)
Gusto mo bang (gusto mo bang)
Gusto mo bang (gusto mo bang)
Gusto mo bang (gusto mo bang)
Gusto mo bang (gusto mo bang)
Gusto mo bang (gusto mo bang)
Gusto mo bang (gusto mo bang)
Gusto mo bang (gusto mo bang)
Sumama ?

Flashback: Years ago, one Senator (I think) wanted to ban this song because he thinks this is about being "high on drugs" and thus, encourages the youth to take up drugs.

Yeah, right !?! I listened to this years ago, sang it for years and I am ok.

See how time flies. The some-what controversial song years ago is now part of a historical event

I remember, that was also the time that back masking became an issue here in our country ... nge! I don't think I would buy a casette tape and reverse it just to listen to whatever they think they heard .. hehe

Oh, well .. back to singing!

Concert

I love to sing, even if I am not sure if singing loves me.

I am looking forward to the day when I can get to sing with a microphone stand, kahit videoke lang.

Going to concerts is kind of expensive. The most I could spend on right now are with respect to my own concert in videoke joints. I have to pay so that someone would let me sing .. hehe ..

No matter how much I would love to go to a concert, there will always be constraints. First, of course, is the financial constraint. Hindi naman ganun kabarato ang tickets. Second is location.

The earliest concert I could remember going to was Gary V's Shout for Joy concert in Davao. Grade 6 ako nun and super naaliw ako. I think I was able to go to a concert of Pops and Kuh and maybe Martin when I was a bit younger. But I cannot remember it man gud. I was also able to go to another Gary V's Concert, in 2004 I think, with free tickets .. lingaw jud!

When I was working in Manila, I was thinking that I could get to watch more concerts (and not just yung simple shows). I really made sure I get to watch Lea and I was so fulfilled when my mom and I got to watch her in December 2004. Super happy!

When I already resigned from work, I decided to stay a bit longer in Manila just to catch Avril Lavigne. Admittedly, Avril's energy that night was not that high. But Simple Plan as the front act was superb. Nasulit na iyong ticket sa kanila pa lang.

Back in 2005, I was thinking of treating my siblings in attending an Alicia Keys concert. Pero ka-mahal man sa ticket intawon.

So, this year, when I read that Alicia Keys, Simple Plan and Avril were going to hold concerts in Manila, I was thinking that iba talaga pag nasa Manila .. hehe. Pero mabuti na rin siguro iyon kasi baka nabankrupt na ako if nandun ako .. hehe

I read that Alicia Keys's concert went great. Simple Plan was not able to fill-up Araneta but I read that people enjoyed it as well. Avril is going to have her concert on the 3rd of September.

Another concert that I looked forward to (kung nasa Manila ako) was the Eraserheads concert .. as in! I think I can say that I am part of the Eheads generation. I was sad that it was cut short due to Ely's condition. But I read that it was pretty awesome! As in it was moving and historical. I wish I was there.

Pero nandito ako eh. So, hanggang basa-basa na lang ng mga reviews and reactions to the concert while listening to their songs playing on my ITunes :)

Law School Life

My lessons learned for my more than 3 years in law school:

1. It is ok to lend your stuff to other people. But do keep in mind who borrows what. Try to keep a list to easily track whatever materials you have lent to other people so that it would be easier when the time comes that you have to use those stuff again. Of course, sorry na lang if you lost in touch with your borrower ... hehe. It is also ok to borrow stuff from other people. Just be sure to take care of it and return it. Pero pagbinigay sa iyo, ayos. Paying it forward would be good.

2. It is ok to give your materials as well if you feel na hindi mo na magagamit thereafter. However, exercise of this discretion must be with care kasi baka nga naman magamit mo pa in the future.

3. Try not to be absent in class and make notes. You never know what discussion you might have missed when you are not present. Of course, I cannot speak for those who feel the need to be absent to prepare for an exam. As to making notes, this may help for easy recall as well as keeping you awake in class .. hehe

4. Softcopies are better. While I am not saying that having your own laptop is a necessity, it will surely make law school life easier. If wala, eh di make use of what you pay and gamitin ang computer sa library. Softcopies are preferred for easy search. Looking for a case digest that seems familiar? Use Search function and you might find out that you already have a digest of that case. Having that "parang nabasa ko na jud iyang topic na iyan ba" moment? Use Ctrl-F in a document. Oh, di ba? No need to flip over all those pages of documents .. hehe

5. Keep hardcopies of materials as well as past exams. I prefer reading a hardcopy of notes then just using the search function when it comes to softcopies. Keep copies of your past exams as well because you might still use it (as we do in 4th year). Mahal na rin ang photocopy ngayon ... hehe

6. Organize your files - whether books, hard copies of documents as well as soft copies - every now and then. Mas madali ang buhay pag ganun rather than waiting na gabundok na ang materials before you decide to organize and set aside stuff that you think you will not use anymore.

7. Do not be complacent. Hindi dahil ok na ang first exam mo ay ok ka na. Hindi dahil ok ka nung first year sa subject na iyan ay ok ka na. Hindi dahil may materials ka na ay ok ka na. Exert extra effort and it will surely pay off.

8. Try to prepare your own materials - whether you rewrite, reorganize or restructure the concepts and ideas. You may do so if such will help you to better understand the subject. Each of us have a certain format (and font .. hehe) that suits us. So, why not?

9. Balance your interests. It is ok to take a break and relax every now and then, more especially after an exam. But it is also ok (and not alien) to read during breaks. Feel free to study individually and at your own pace. But it will not hurt to discuss with your dear classmates and exert group effort every now and then. While it is true that in the end, it is just about you passing the bar exam, you cannot escape the fact that all of you are in this together.

10. Enjoy law school! Let go of unnecessary worries, keep your focus and just do it!

Have a happy life :)

Busted!

I had fun watching Myth Busters tonight!

Milk is the best "cure" for spice - confirmed!

They tried everything from water, beer, tequila, toothpaste, petroleum jelly and wasabe. But nothing beats milk.

Elephants are afraid of mice - plausible!

You should have seen how the elephant in South Africa reacted when he saw the mice .. amazing fact!

Past is Past

We had our Public Officers and Public Corporations exam this morning.

I did not expect it to be that hard (for me that is). I cannot speak for everyone.

Before taking the exam, I felt that I was not that much prepared compared to the past 3 exams we had (char lang). I was not that prepared as to the past 3 exams but feel ko talaga may kulang when it came to Pub Corp .. tsk, tsk ...

I don't know why. I was hoping that this would be some sort of "pambira". Gi-easy easy ko lang ba? hmm ...

But going over the true and false and the essay questions, I am not so sure anymore.

While I do refer to past exams, I do so the night before the exam to test how much I know. I was not able to go through everything what I had on hand. The most important thing is you know the concept.

While waiting for my friend, I went through those past exams .. and guess what?

Two of the essay questions where indeed asked before (# 2 Ara and Manny and # 4 Lacson as DepEd Secretary). The thing is I think I got those two right and I was not able to read those past exams before I took the exam. As to the rest of the essay questions, hindi ko alam sang puno kunin ang answer .. hehe. So, same banana whether or not I was able to go over the past questions .. hehe ..

There were at least 20 true or false questions which had the same concept. Some I was able to go through the night before. Some were forgotten by me (normal).

Hay .. past is past .. move on na! Magbawi na sad ..

A Very Special Love

Nakapanood din!

A Very Special Thank You dahil ang daming nanood kaya tuloy naextend .. now, on its third week!

Definitely no regrets in watching this flick! It is one that will really make you feel good as well as make you sing .. either Kailan or A Very Special Love .. hehe :)

I admit that I am no big fan of the John Lloyd-Bea tandem. But I admit that I really had fun watching Close to You a few years back. John Lloyd was really funny in that film and makes you wish you had that kind of a friend .. hehe

Anyhow, I was able to watch bits of the Maalala episode featuring John Lloyd and Sarah. It was pretty much okay.

I confess (confess jud!) that I am quite a fan of John Lloyd and Sarah separately.
Admittedly, John Lloyd is super good looking and mukhang mabait. And he can pull off comedic stuff in ASAP and in his interviews. And kahit anong ipasuot sa kanya, hindi ako nababaduyan

Sarah, on the other hand, is quite talented. She is very simple and alam mo na walang arte sa buhay. Hindi lang siya birit nang birit. I love watching her numbers in ASAP. Add to the fact na parang may pagka-bubbly siya.

Before the Maalala episode, I don't think I had any idea that putting two of them in a movie would turn out quite fine.

And it did! This time around John Lloyd was not that funny person like in Close to You. But he played his character in A Very Special Love really quite well. Da best ka John Lloyd .. hehe! The storyline on why he is that "saputon" was very well laid out. Ayos!

Sarah did quite okay. Swak sa kanya yung mga funny scenes and funny lines.
Basta nalingaw jud ako!

-oOo-

I just noticed na built-in na jud di ai sa akin ang law school.

John Lloyd was telling his family background. I was thinking about the Family Code.

John Lloyd was telling his staff that the publishing house is about to close down. I was thinking Labor Standards.

Hehe ...

-oOo-

Anyhow, I just was quite elated when I heard John Lloyd saying that he was a work in progress. That has been my shout out a week ago in Friendster. Binalik ko ngayon kasi sinabi ni John Lloyd .. whattacoincidence!

-oOo-

I like the editorial that John Lloyd made for the magazine.
Unfortunately, hindi ko memorize and hindi ko mahanap sa internet. Toynk!

-oOo-

Medyo disturbing lang ang wig ni Sarah .. hehe

oOo-

Hmmm .. bili kaya kami ng DVD pagrelease .. haha!

-oOo-

Ah, basta .. the movie was indeed a pleasant surprise!

The greatest thing is proving nothing is impossible.

So many people said it couldn't be done, but all it takes is an imagination.

That is something I have learned.

The X-Files : I Want To Believe

Assuming din iyong ticketera sa SM. Isip niya A Very Special Love ang panoorin namin .. hehe

Pinalampas ko na hindi makapanood ng A Very Special Love. Tanggap ko na iyon.

Pero hindi ko pwedeng palampasin na hindi mapanood ang X-Files. Ako pa? Anyone who knows me since high school is very much aware how much a fan I am of X-Files. I was ready to watch it by myself (my first in Davao City if ever) but I was blessed because Lyn was not yet able to watch it. And so, we enjoyed watching it together!

The first few notes of the X-Files theme was played .. I got thrilled! Haha!

Spoiler Alert!

It is definitely different from the first X-Files film. While alien and conspiracy was written all over the first one, the plot for the second was totally devoid of such stuff.

I was excited to see Mulder and Scully back again. Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) may have aged but she is indeed prettier. Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) really looks older .. maybe just to show how much a recluse he has been and that he does not look that old in person (haha .. defensive jud ko).

Lyn was right in saying that it was a prolonged single TV episode of the X-Files. It didn't have any great effects or superb sets or pulsating actions. It was X-Files the way it started on TV.

If you have been an avid fan of the X-Files, you may already have an inkling as to how things are going to be.

I already had an idea as to how the psychic is connected to the crime. There was an episode which had almost the same theme where the "psychic" was a girl who was previously kidnapped. She was muttering the same words of the abductor and was the key to finding a girl who was recently kidnapped. (Season 3: Episode 8 - Oubliette)

I was excited when Amanda Peet's character muttered psychics featured in the X-Files, especially Clyde Bruckman.

I was most especially excited when Scully ask as to who are the big guns she has to ask for help from. Guess who? Skinner! I was really thrilled seeing him again and I don't think he has aged that much .. hehe

It was also predictable (on my part that is) that Scully's research on stem cell would somehow be linked with the crime. Why would they show Scully printing all those research while letting us listen to Mulder's explanation as to the case?

And of course, a true X-phile would have guessed that there would be a cliffhanger in the end.

The never ending questions as to science balancing with faith in relation to paranormal is as always present.

All in all, the film was truly in the tradition of the X-Files. It was not a super blockbuster film but it was a film that pays tribute to a great series, of which I am truly proud to have been a part of.

If you are not an X-File fan, I think you would enjoy the film as well. But not as much as a true X-File fan would do .. hehe :)

PS: I missed watching a 5-second scene after the credits. I thought nothing like that would be shown. Oh well, after having no classes, getting excited, watching a movie, reminiscing a favorite TV series and hanging out friends, maybe, it would have been too much of a good thing and too blessed if I got to watch that scene ... (trying to rationalize .. hehe) .. anyhow, I will wait for it on TV or DVD perhaps ;)

Sunday Morning

I already slept at around 3 am and woke up at 7 am for our 9 am Crim exam.

The sleep I had was pretty good since I felt that I was really in deep slumber. Sino ba man ang hindi kapuyin sa lagay na to? Hehe ...

Anyhow, I felt good in the sense that the song "Sunday Morning" by Maroon 5 was ringing in my head. It has that feel good tune for me.

"But things just get so crazy, living life gets hard to do"

And yes, things got kind of crazy for me at school. The exam was held an hour late (but I was expecting this .. hehe).

No matter how much I try to memorize provisions before the exam, hindi na talaga ma-save sa brain ko, as evidenced by "my own words" in the fill in the blanks part. But I was still expecting this because my brain has limited capacity for memorizing the exact words (I think). But thanks to my classmates who try to quiz me as to the cases, I was able to cite some cases in the essay.

Ah, here comes the essay part. My mind goes blank on the first question. Next question please. Ai, blank uli. Tsk, tsk .. things are now getting crazy as I try to decipher what provisions to apply, what cases to cite and what words to write. Hahai .. buhay ...

After 3 hours of the exam and 7 snowbear candies (hehe), I am not sure of my answers. I was happy when I found out that I had similar answers with some of my classmates and the fact that I remember some stuff mentioned in our Crim 2 back in first year (some kinda effective jud di ai =P)

After listening to sir as to the answers, I was half-and-half ok (see .. I am crazy!) I missed the motion to quash, tsk tsk .. shame on me since I was able to pull off this kind of answer back in first year. If only sir would be lenient as to the deductions .. pwede ako makasurvive :)

Our Crim exam entails more effort than our Consti 2 exam. But this does not necessarily resonate a better grade over the other .. believe me .. I have been there, done that.

Getting home at almost 2 pm, I was really hungry. And I was so thankful that we have sinigang na hipon and grilled fish .. ai, kadami ko jud nakain! haha

Unfortunately, we were not able to watch "A Very Special Love" which I was really looking forward to watch. I don't know when and if I will still be able to watch it on the big screen :(

At the end of the day, I am back studying for our other subjects. Oh, well ...

See .. life indeed gets crazy!

Hanna: Hindi. Dark Knight man siguro.

My dad wears a sweater as pantulog. Pero baliktad kasi hait daw ... siya lang ang kilala ko na ganun .. hehe

-oOo-

My dad is turning 58 this August. And he is still playing basketball. I joked that maybe press release lang niya sa amin na nagabasketball siya pero hindi na pala siya ginaplaro because of his age. Gitawag dayon ang sister ko na witness na gipalaro jud siya .. hehe

-oOo-

My heartbeat went so fast last night. I was able to catch up a few seconds of the Magnolia vs. Air21 game. My dad was watching it at first. Looking at the score where Air21 was quite ahead, I decided to read Criminal Law. Medyo nakahabol. Sabi ng dad ko, wala na. He turned the TV off. But I turned it on again kay magwatch kami ng PDA. Eh, naka-3 pts ang Magnolia. Hanggang 1 pt lead na lang, 30 seconds to go. I was nervous. Air21 had possession. Pasa--dribble-pasa .. a steal by Racela. Nag-ambak-ambak intawon ko. Tapos failed attempt, no foul. Ubos na ang time :( Sayang .. Pero ok lang it was for Air21 to lose, the game was practically theirs.

-oOo-

So, tie pa naman sila. Medyo weird lang kasi Magnolia na ang SMB. I am so used to seeing red when its SMB. Things change. Although, I don't really watch PBA that much in recent years, medyo updated pa rin ako sa news and because my dad watches .. hehe

Sometimes, there are just people who are quite frustrating. I don't know where they get their angst against some people. Basta there are people that are really confusing .. tsk, tsk

Knock Knock: No Heir

No Heir Who?

Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with NO HEIR
Can't live, can't breathe with NO HEIR
It's how I feel whenever you ain't there
It's NO HEIR, NO HEIR

Until our next class and whatever song that comes to my head :)

Overbreadth

Subject: Constitutional Law 2 (Review) - Bill of Rights

We had our first fourth year exam yesterday. All I can say is my answers were generally "overbreadth" .. hehe

One of my favorite subject in law school is the subject on Bill of Rights. The reason? Well, it deals with "you have the right to remain silent" and all that stuff, evidence and all those interesting story lines in detective and investigative TV series .. hehe.

Given that we had to study a subject discussed in less than 3 weeks, which we took up in 1st year in one whole semester, I guess the effort was not that much bad. The reason is probably because we had it before and thus, it is easier to absorb. But that does not mean that it is easier to answer the questions .. hehe.

I can say that my answers were practically "overbreadth" .. whatever that means .. haha! Kumbaga, familiary breeds concept in the sense that most of the things are familiar with the cases in the outline. Not exactly similar for some, but quite familiar. That is why, I can make a concept out of the questions because of the familiarity. The problem is I forget what I read and I am not sure of my reasons and the words that our coming out of my pen .. hehe .. kaya siya overbreadth, hindi siya narrowly defined kumbaga. Although, all my answers for each sub-question did not go beyond one page.

In the end, isa lang naman ang prayer ko .. kahit 75 lang Lord :)

Anyhow, pansin ko that I am quite tired during Saturdays. I was practically in school from 10 am to 5 pm last Saturday. For the past 3 Saturdays, whenever I get home, I feel tired, hungry and sleepy. That's why I sleep for 30 minutes or so .. hehe. I guess my Saturdays will be really like this .. leaving me, not overbreadth, but out of breath .. hehe

Organized Chaos

These are practically most of my law school stuff.

I am not sure why I decided to post this .. haha :)

Hits & Misses

As usual, here are some of my random thoughts .. hehe

-oOo-

Hit: Father mentioned some stories in our class today which I can still recall that he menitoned to us in our Lab Stan and Corpo class

Miss: I could not remember the answer to his oyster soup bar question .. hehe

-oOo-

Hit: I though I saw Alia walking near the Gazebo, so I called her name. Hindi pala siya iyon. But she was just right behind the person whom I thought was her. Whattacoincidence!

Miss: Such incident really means I need an upgrade with regard to my eyesight .. hehe

-oOo-

Hit: There are a number of materials from my classmates to read for our subjects

Miss: So little time to read them and so expensive to have all of them photocopied .. haha

-oOo-

Hit: Too many stories heard

Miss: Too many stories to keep .. hehe

-oOo-

Hit: I underwent a basic medical check-up and everything seems fine .. yahoo!

Miss: Watching my chest x-ray and realizing that my 'thoracic scoliosis' is really obvious. This was the only major comment the doctor had

-oOo-

Hit: I am doing ok :)

Miss: Some of my friends are going through some tough times :(

-oOo-

Sabi ni Father: In the end, it is your horizon which operates (or something to that effect)
hehe .. dili related sa hits & misses .. toynk!

Weird!

1. This game starts with 6 weird things about you.
2. People who got tagged need to write a blog entry of their own 6 weird things.
3. They should as well state this rule clearly.
4. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says you are tagged in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

Here we go..

1. When I sleep, dapat naka-tuck yung shirt ko .. insert na kung insert .. ayaw ko mapanuhutan .. haha

2. I eat candies, preferably snow bear, whenever I take exams. This has been a habit of mine since high school pa. Yup, kahit nung board exams may supply jud ako ng candy. Usually, 1 candy for every 30 minutes. Tapos if panic mode kay lisod ang exam, ubos agad ang supply. If some kinda kaya, sobra ang baon. So, if sabay tayo mag-exam and may narinig ka na may ga-open ng candy .. ako yun .. hehe

3. I have this habit of joining a conversation, assuming na alam ko ang topic tapos mali pala ako, pero minsan, hindi ko masyado ipa-obvious na mali pala ako .. hehe

4. I don't drink coffee. Kahit may times na super OT sa work before, kahit na gastudy for school.. hindi jud ako ma-kape .. hehe .. ayaw ko lang ata iyong pagkapait .. hehe

5. Since I love talking, there are times that I talk to myself .. ask my sisters. Kulang na lang ata idala nila ako sa mental hospital. But since dumadami na rin kami na kinakausap ang sarili, baka hindi na ito weird in the near future .. hehe

6. Hindi pa rin ako makaget-over sa break up nina Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston .. haha .. hanggang ngayon, wala pa akong pinananood na film ni Angelina since naging sila ni Brad .. parang naka-move on na si Jennifer, ako hindi pa .. o di ba weird!

I tag YOU!
