April 2011

This was a one-of-a-kind vacation! Admittedly, it was quite sad that our family could not be together in this trip. Nevertheless, we made sure that we made the most out of it.

My mom was indeed blessed to have been included in the 3-week training in Arlington, Virginia at the right time - perfect weather and vacation time for JJ and me! It was also a plus factor that we need not pay for the place since it was included in the training and we could all fit in one room. I was also ecstatic that it had a kitchen so that we could cook! So, I happily cooked our meals and washed the dishes. It was also cool that we could tour around Washington and visit almost all the museums and other places for free. JJ and I would just spend for our fare and lunch.

During weekdays when my mom would attend the trainings, JJ and I would go around Washington after breakfast and then go back at around 5 pm. Sometimes, if my mom does not have any assignment, we go and visit the nearest malls. On weekends, the three of us would visit malls and other tourist destinations.

I really had a great time, especially visiting those places I've seen on tv and movies!

We also took a side trip to Niagara Falls .. and it was so cold!!!

And before flying back home, we went to San Diego to visit our cousins!

Thank you Lord for letting me experience these!
