April 2011

This was a one-of-a-kind vacation! Admittedly, it was quite sad that our family could not be together in this trip. Nevertheless, we made sure that we made the most out of it.

My mom was indeed blessed to have been included in the 3-week training in Arlington, Virginia at the right time - perfect weather and vacation time for JJ and me! It was also a plus factor that we need not pay for the place since it was included in the training and we could all fit in one room. I was also ecstatic that it had a kitchen so that we could cook! So, I happily cooked our meals and washed the dishes. It was also cool that we could tour around Washington and visit almost all the museums and other places for free. JJ and I would just spend for our fare and lunch.

During weekdays when my mom would attend the trainings, JJ and I would go around Washington after breakfast and then go back at around 5 pm. Sometimes, if my mom does not have any assignment, we go and visit the nearest malls. On weekends, the three of us would visit malls and other tourist destinations.

I really had a great time, especially visiting those places I've seen on tv and movies!

We also took a side trip to Niagara Falls .. and it was so cold!!!

And before flying back home, we went to San Diego to visit our cousins!

Thank you Lord for letting me experience these!

March 2011

It was an eventful month!

The list of successful 2010 bar examinees were released. I was happy that AdDU had its Top 4 (Congrats Cat!) as well as for my friends who passed. As for those who did not make it that time, I know you'll make it the second time around.

Blossom with her Pink Booties!

Since Bajeck and Dad will be left at home while Mom, JJ and I will leave for US, my mom decided to have a new dog. We named it Blossom, after the Cherry Blossoms in Washington since that is where the 3 of us will be spending 3 weeks. Blossom indeed has brought a different kind of happiness for all of us at home.

This was also a time to say good bye to my red car! I've seen her once or twice and she looks fine! So blessed with this car and I am happy that I get to share the car with my friends ;)

As the last week of March came, me, together with my mom and brother JJ, left for a month-long trip to the US. It was one-of-a-kind trip for us because mom was sent to Virginia for a 3-week training. But before we went to there, we stayed for a few days in Los Angeles. I really had a great time going around LA by ourselves. Thanks to internet, we were able to figure out what time and where to catch the nearest bus or trains. We were able to go to Universal Studios, Sta. Monica Beach and of course, the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

February 2011

Admittedly, it was a busy month for me. I was surrounded by papers - pleadings and test papers! Nevertheless, it was still a month full of blessings for me!

Allan surprised me with flowers and chocolate! I am not the usual "flowers-and-chocolates" girl, but I do know how to appreciate one's effort!

January 2011

Considering that I have had a few blogs this year and
considering that I have made "flashbacks in the year that was" the past two years,
I think it is just proper that I do a flashback for my 2011!
Here goes ...

I really can't help it if the highlight of January is my birthday. But, of course! So, on the last day of the first month of the year, I turned 30. Just imagine a life-filled with blessings! I am so blessed that I got to experience 30 years of GOD's wonderful blessings.

Surprised indeed!

My birthday was on a Monday. But Allan, with the help of our dear friends Boss Ogie, Clangski, Karl as well as Ling and Lyndon, surprised me on the day before my birthday with a mini-celebration at home. A wonderful surprise indeed!

My birthday itself was pretty normal, with my undergraduate students having no inkling that it was my day .. hehe!

My first Nego class in Law School

On Tuesday, I was surprised by my Law School class with a cake and a huge card (the biggest I have received); Thank you all!

Sidelights:

Bajeck, my sister, was surprised by her barkada .. early in the morning!
