Blank

I am fully aware that I have not blogged for quite a number of days.

It's not that nothing happens with my life. Actually, a lot is happening. I guess I am just livin' a life.

There are a number of things I have to do.

There are a number of things I think about.

There are a number of stuff I have to worry.

There are a number of blessings I have to be thankful for.

There are a number of people I do not know how to react to.

I do think of things to blog. But when I am in front of this "Compose Blog Entry", my mind goes blank.

I do not know what to write.

I do not know where to begin.

I do not know how to express my sentiments.

I do not know why I dwell on a lot of stuff.

I do not know when is the right time to write.

Maybe my mind is not that "blank". I got to post this blog.

I think I am just confused :)

I Dreamed of Africa

Dream Destination: AFRICA

I love to travel. And just like any other person, I have my personal dream travel destination. And that would be Africa.

Honestly, I first dreamt of being able to go to Paris and be at the Eiffel Tower. I think that was until Survivor 3:Africa. And I was also influenced by Amazing Race 1 (I think) where they went to Victoria Falls.

The dream was sort of rekindled when Survivor 17:Gabon began two weeks ago. I was thinking of writing about it but I just never got into it .. hehe.

Here now comes an article written by Marc Nelson in the Philippine Star today.

It is a nice read.

So, I felt that it was just about time to blog about it.

The biggest reason why I am dreaming of Africa is probably because of what its nature offers - close encounters with animals. Yes, I've seen a number of animals but they were in zoos. So, it would be definitely an experience seeing them in their natural habitat. Swimming with the great white shark is also an experience to look forward to in Africa. And there's Victoria Falls, which I was truly amazed when I was watching Amazing Race. And of course, the people there :)

It may take some time for this dream to become a reality. I still do not have that much money. And I still haven't found traveling buddies for this dream trip.

But for now, I think dreaming would suffice.

Funny

It’s funny when you think about a person for no reason

And suddenly, you see that person out of the blue

It’s funny when you think you know that person

And yet, you hesitate to acknowledge when you meet such person

It’s funny when you think so much has changed

And still, you are so sure that you can still recognize such person

It’s funny when you are so sure of that person

And then, you just dismiss such encounter

It’s funny when there is really not much to that

And in spite of it, I still find it funny why I am blogging about it

I wonder if such person finds it funny, too :)

We always have a choice. I always believed that. Sometimes we just get so blinded with the circumstances that we feel we are left with no choice at all. But truth be told, there is always a choice – though, we just could not accept something as a “choice” when we do not want the consequences we are going to face with that choice. We choose our own adventure and in making a choice, we should accept the consequences for there is no turning back.

In making a choice, we sometimes forget the consequences – how varied it can be. Sometimes, we get caught up in the moment that we tend to overlook possible consequences – consequences that not only affects us but other people as well. We sometimes forget to take into consideration worst case scenarios and somehow hope that things will change for the better.

We all know that the only constant thing in this world is change. It is inevitable. Change may be for the better or for the worse. But with the changes in life, we either embrace it or adjust to it.

With such changes being permanent, I guess it would be pointless to complain. Sure, you can speak out for that is your right. But try not to complain and just do what you ought to do.

Unfortunately, we tend to complain a lot. Instead of doing so, we must assess what we can control. Let go of things which is beyond our control and concentrate on what is at hand. I know this is hard because there are things that just come naturally. No matter how much we avoid to dwell on things, there will always be those stuff that we constantly think over. Although, these stuff shall pass eventually.

One thing that we can control is our being complacent. We tend to be satisfied with what is on hand that we forget that we can still do more. We can always push ourselves to our maximum capacity. Just go the distance and we will eventually reap results.

I sometimes cannot comprehend why we tend to be complacent at times. Our conscience must be our guide in our every day lives. Unfortunately, I think there are many levels of such conscience. Something which bothers me might not be bothersome at all for another.

Yes, we are different. I do not expect everyone to agree with everyone. I do not expect everyone to be friendly with everyone. Nevertheless, two ends can still meet. Try to compromise. In the end, nobody really ends up losing.

When we have reached a compromise or whatever agreement there is, be committed. We must deliver what we have promised. If we cannot deliver, then, do not make such commitment. In that case, it is better not to expect at all.

Oh well! I might be wrong. But that’s okay for I have always known that human beings are always complicated! J
