8 ways to explain to yourself how you fared in your exam
(in other words - pampalubag loob):

1. Grabe naman study ko - gitaktak ko na lahat ng pwede ko pag-aralan. Mahirap talaga ang exam na gibigay ni ma'am. Gabrayt na lang jud ni ma'am .. dili nako makaya. Wala na koy mahimo if ana siya kabrayt.

2. Madali lang sana ang exam pero wala kasi ako nagstudy ng tarong kaya mali ang sagot ko. Wala akong masisi. Alam ko naman kulang ang study ko, so ok na .. tanggap ko na mali mga sagot ko dahil kasalanan ko naman kulang pag-study ko.

3. Napag-aralan ko man iyon. Nabasa ko iyon man iyon somewhere. Fair magbigay si ma'am ng question kasi nadiscuss niya. Mali ko lang kay nakalimutan ko kung ano iyong nabasa ko. Normal lang man sa tao na makalimot.

4. Sa kadaming gimemorize, nalibog na jud ko. Gamay ra akong capacity to memorize .. no more space for new messages. Tao lang ko, dili jud nako mamemorize tanan. Sino ba daw makamemorize sa lahat?

5. Ai, outside of the coverage area. Wa na koy labot ana .. kay nagstudy jud ko within the coverage area .. hehe

6. Kahaba sa exam, alam ko man sana ang answer ba. Kulang lang jud ang time .. at least makasabi ako na nag-aral ako.

7. Gi-note ko pa naman sa sarili ko na dapat basahin ko tong case na ito or topic na ito .. kulang man gud ang time to read .. kaya hindi ko nabasa .. tsk, tsk

8. I gave my best jud!

I have never been a Koreanovela fan. Wala pa akong sinubaybayan na kahit anong koreanovela … until now.

Koreanovela ba ito or or koreakuwela? Ngek! Alam ko corny!

Pero the first thing that got my attention was the trailer of how Justin died .. shocked man din ako! Pero yung particular scene sa trailer hindi pinakita sa prime time talaga .. hmmm.

Another reason is my curiosity as to how they can make such a tragic event (husband died while wife is pregnant with a child) can be turned into something comedic? Somehow, they have pulled it off – as in there are scenarios na tragic jud tapos may scenes na lingaw. Very nice ang friendship nung guys. Pero siyempre gawonder lang gihapon ako if nasan ang relatives and friends sa girl .. hehe ..

Isa pang reason? Super kataw-anan ang 3 dads .. hehe .. lingaw ang mga hirits nila. And sige na, aminin ko na .. guwapo jud si Jake ba yun. Basta yung hindi detective and hindi comic book artist .. haha!

O isa pa .. ka-cute jud ni baby Nicole .. hehe .. as in!

Survivor: Philippines

Siyempre mawala ba rantings ko nito .. hehe

For someone who is a Survivor avid fan, may times talaga na mapa-what ako when watching Survivor Philippines. Pero medyo accepted ko na na ganun talaga ..

The tribal council was dragging .. para siyang naging talk show .. hehe

Tapos kanina sa reward challenge .. medyo makainis kasi parang nobody watched the Survivor Fans vs. Faves Season on how the planks was used. O sige na lang, isipin ko na lang na ang instruction sa kanila eh hwag gayahin iyong strategy sa Survivor US at kelangan gamitin nila iyong 2 planks or kung ano man yun .. hehe

As a law student na almost every week may exam, ano pa ba ang most probably na i-blog kundi about our exams. Toynk!

Hala! Tuloy hindi ko masisi ang ibang tao nagabasa ng blog ko if they think that all I do is study and watch TV .. eh yun lang naman usually kasi ang topics .. hehe

Ok, so we had our Election Laws exam hours ago. And I can say that nahirapan ako - promise! I think it has the making of toppling our Pub Corp exam as the most difficult one for now .. as to my view point ha!

Hindi naman ako masyado nanghinayan kasi Saturday pa lang nagpa-immunize na ako sa kung ano mang nangyari sa Elections exam namin. My plan was to read our class reviewer (salamat Sasha :) ), the briefer, some notes and previous exam questions. Saturday afternoon nasa half pa lang ako ng class reviewer and hindi ko pa nagalaw iyong iba. So, sabi ko sarili ko (and kay Karla) na kung ano man ang exam - madali or mahirap - ok na ako. Ewan ko pero ang bagal ko mag-aral for elections during the weekdays.

Pero hwag ka kasi natapos ko ang class reviewer and briefer and medyo may nabasa ako na previous exams over the weekend. Hindi rin naman ako nagpaapekto sa brownout, na unlike before na nagbrown-out some kinda panic mode ako. This time, sabi ko matulog na lang ako .. pero matagal rin bago ako nakatulog kasi it was not yet my bed time .. hehe..

Suma total .. feel ko hindi kahit todo study ako for the exam during the weekdays, my answers would have been probably more or less the same. If may difference konti lang talaga .. May mga tanong kasi talaga na hindi ko alam san kunin ang sagot. Mabuti ba ang illegally seized items kasi alam nila na fruit sila poisonous tree .. connect?

Oh my, I am speaking nonsense .. tsk, tsk .. Gotta move on!

Survivor Philippines

I am a Survivor fan.

Though I have not watched every single episode since Season 1, I have watched most of it anyway and I kept myself updated.

For the last 3 years, I have been watching Survivor episodes on Friday afternoons just before going to class. Yes, I do watch even though we have a recitation later .. hehe. If for some other reason I am not able to watch it, I thank God for replays .. hehe

Anyhow, I got excited when I heard about Survivor Philippines. Though I am a certified Kapamilya, I am also a certified Survivor fan.

I had a preview of the contestants before the first episode. Hindi masyado ako impressed because medyo mataas ang expectation ko after I heard about the auditions that were conducted. Siguro, medyo mataas ang expectation ko kasi masyado akong nasanay sa mga foreigners na Survivor contestants .. hehe. Pero to give credit, medyo diverse naman ang mga background ng mga tao, which is quite ok.

I watched the first episode a while ago. Production is indeed Survivor-like. Franchise nga eh. I don't have any bitter feelings even if Paolo wears the same design in clothes as worn by Jeff Probst. Survivor nga eh.

The first task – that 1 kilometer swim was very Survivor. I was thinking that kaya ko siguro iyon i-swim pero mga after 48 hours pa ako matapos .. haha .. The reward challenge was ok as well. If may reason ako to participate in Survivor, its because of those challenges. Kasi I will be able to assess if kaya ko mga ganun. And wala namang naga-prepare na ganun na obstacle course or props or whatever … kaya ok din if you get to experience it.

In fairness, Survivor Philippines did make some deviations. Iyong mga statement ni Paolo na this person is already strategizing or this person is having difficulty .. hehe. Wala atang ganun sa Survivor, I think.

But I do have one great peeve. Why did they make it an everyday thing? Ah, yes .. the rating thing .. tsk, tsk ...

I was so used to watching everything in a single episode. I think mas thrilling din pag ganun. And the breaks are more logical. Hindi iyong in the middle of the challenge eh commercial break. Tapos I get to miss one single episode, parang mahirapan ako makaconnect ... hehe

Anyhow, I think I'll be watching Survivor Philippines in the coming days. Tapos na rin kasi ang PDA (kung saan ayaw ko si Laarni ang manalo .. pero di naman ako bumoto .. hehe .. so, patagalan na lang sa kanila sa industriya .. haha)

Anyhow, these are my 5 reasons why I am not qualified for Survivor:

1. May scoliosis ako

2. I am visually impaired (and probable legally blind kasi 5.50 and 5.25 na grade ng salamin ko)

3. Hindi ko pa kaya mag two-piece .. haha!

Ah! Succession!

Admittedly, this is probably one of the hardest subjects I encountered. I guess this was the only subject where I told my dad that succession is really difficult to comprehend. As to other difficult subjects, I kept it to myself and just let them know my grades if I am on the brink of elimination.

The Succession exam we had was ok and I know there would be objections as to this opinion.

Do not get me wrong because I am way too weird. Do not get me wrong when I say ok because it does not necessarily mean that I got the questions right because I did not. Do not get me wrong because when I say the exam was ok, I get a low grade more often than not.

So, how do I measure? The fact that almost if not everything that was asked is familiar to me. It may have been discussed in class, asked in a previous examination or in a case cited in the syllabus. I guess it is just a matter of memory. And the truth is I forgot that's why I did not get the right answers. This is under the premise of what I think is correct and not for any another reason, ok?

Nevertheless, there will be those moments na mali jud di ai pagkasabot ko. Sabi nga ni KC: "I get it. I am not perfect." Hehe .. Oh well, lessons learned and learning curves. Sige lang, sabi ko nga kay Alia, pang-bar na itong mga lessons learned .. hehe!

Bawi na lang kami sa next sem na Succession. Return of the Comeback ito!

In the meantime, bawi na sad sa Property para mabira ang Civil Law .. hehe.

Nevertheless, mas mahirap pa rin ang Pub Corp na exam .. haha

*Bakit ganun ang title? First suggestion kay SUCKsession pero I do not feel that the succession exam sucks (char!) and status na ni Blithe eh .. hehe ... So, para orig, suggestion na lang ni noch na reserva troncal .. haha .. thanks noch ;)


FYI: What is Reserva Troncal?

The ascendant who inherits from his descendant any property which the latter may have acquired by gratuitous title from another ascendant, or a brother or sister, is obliged to reserve such property as he may have acquired by operation of law for the benefit of relatives who are within the third degree and who belong to the line from which said property came.

Confessions of a Dangerous Mind

The 2008 Bar Exams started last Sunday.

On my own, I went over the questions on Labor Law. It was ok at first because I felt I had an idea. I can answer YES or NO, but without enough backing.

With a group of classmates, medyo defined na answer.

But when it was discussed in class, I really felt that I was not that yet ready to take the Bar Exams. All I had in my mind was a YES or NO with somewhat reasoning. But listening to the discussions, I felt it is not yet that enough. I cannot cite particular Articles in the Labor Code. But I can say that we were able to answer some. But my feeling was that I was not that convincing enough in answering those questions.

As to the Political Law questions, mas lalong kulang pa .. tsk, tsk.

Yes, I confess that the reality that I should be talking the bar next year at this time (barring any failures .. with God's guidance) is setting in on me.

Yes, I had butterflies in my stomach reading the newspaper last Sunday mentioning the start of the bar examinations for this year.

Yes, I still doubt myself how ready I am, considering the feedback that the exams last Sunday was reasonable.

Maybe this is ok so that I would push myself more than ever and just so that I would not be complacent in whatever I have right now.
